Landing Page Visual Exploration: Designing for a Technical Audience

Overview

Problem

The original design language had a friendly and approachable look, but our target customer profile is technical, and the design wasn't reflecting that. The goal of this visual exploration was to revamp the visual tone to something that feels sharp, precise, and built for technical users.

Gathering Visual References

I started by researching products that geared toward technical users. I’m looking at how developer tools, dev-focused SaaS, and technical platforms present themselves visually.

Design

Direction 1

I kept the existing design language such as light theme, light green, but tightened everything up. Cleaned the layout, removed decorative elements like brush strokes, reduced corner radius, and introduced serif typography to add a sense of credibility and authority.

Direction 2

A full redesign. Dark mode, grotesk typography, a new icon system, and custom visual illustrations.
